The Good Meat Project Switchboard was built for times like these. It simultaneously serves as a free, online, national, searchable marketplace, information exchange, networking hub, virtual mutual aid network, and so much more. Producers who raise meat responsibly can advertise their product, as well as swap advice with other farmers/ranchers. They can also coordinate sales efforts with retail outlets, or find available processors in their region. Consumers join the switchboard to find farmers and retail outlets they can purchase local, responsible meat from. They also trade bacon recipes. Grocery stores and butcher shops post job openings. Processors post availability. [My/Our] main hope right now is that the Good Meat Project Switchboard will ensure access to local, responsibly-raised meat across the country during COVID-19. We can create our own community together, and we need to, especially right now. Please sign up and share with relevant networks in your own food communities.
[I/we] encourage you to join. It’s 100% free and very easy to use. So many of us are already using it to share resources, collaborate, and learn from one another. Join us.
